Dylan Rodriguez joins Ocean Aero as a developmental engineer after graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2014. In his current role, he is primarily responsible for conducting general engineering and designing software and electronic systems for the Submaran. While at WPI, Dylan was heavily involved in the creation of a start up, SCOUT Technologies, as well as developing product for Kroova Communications Incorporated. Dylan worked with a team of other students to design, prototype, and build Scout - a twelve-foot long autonomous robotic boat was designed to cross the Atlantic Ocean. This boat relied only on pre-programmed commands and information to collect data about its environment through sensors. Scout made it 1307 miles – a world record autonomous transatlantic attempt. Dylan is an innovative and creative individual with a passion for naval engineering, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Ocean Aero family. He brings expertise in electronic and software prototyping, PCB design and manufacture, embedded system development skills, as well as programming software experience.
